Coat of arms of Malacca : ウィキペディア英語版 | Coat of arms of Malacca
The Coat of arms of Malacca is the official coat of arms of the Malaysian state of Malacca. The various colours on the arms indicate that the state is part of the Federation of Malaysia. The star and crescent, which stand on the crest represents Islam, the official religion of the state. The five keris represent the five legendary warriors of the ancient Malacca Sultanate, who are Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir, and Hang Lekiu. The Malacca tree is the tree from which the state derives its name. It is also the place which attracted Parameswara, the first sultan and founder of Malacca, to found a kingdom. The two mousedeers supporting the shield serve to recall the incident involving the mousedeers which led the first ruler of Melaka who was sitting under the Malacca tree to choose the site and found the state. ''Bersatu Teguh'' is the state motto of Malacca.
